"Make a decision and then make it right. There just are no wrong decisions. You could go this way, or that way, and either way will eventually get you to where you want to be. But in the moment you start complimenting yourself on the decision you've made, in that moment, you come back into vibrational alignment with who-you-really-are." -
AbrahamI've been a little depressed lately over the amount of waste that goes on at work. We are getting better, and I am instituting little steps like teaching people how to print to the photocopier double-sided to save paper, and recycling the paper for notebooks and pads for note taking etc. They're little steps, but they are steps nonetheless.
Last night and this morning I start internalising the prayer of
"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference." because I needed to hand over to Spirit the desire to control my surroundings. I was becoming obsessive and I knew more than anything that it would only result in myself becoming dejected and upset with my workplace, my colleagues, and the world in general.
That is totally unnecessary. As is stated in the beautiful
video on this site, we must bless everyone, even those we would normally judge. Because if we are blessing, we cannot hold a judgmental thought. I really took this to heart and am reciting it to myself over and over, if I see something that starts to upset me, I bless the situation rather than get upset over it now. Blessing it will hand it over to God.
Today in a meeting with one of my bosses, I brought up the idea of using recycled paper to print our student brochures and information sheets on, and she ran with the idea. She also brought up the idea of buying recycled reams of copy paper (something I'd love to see throughout the entire organisation) and using that - and making at least our little part of the organisation (the Registered Training Organisation) eco-friendly as much as possible.
As we are going to be training in the Cleaning Industry, I brought up the fact that I'd been doing some research just for my own home on
eco-friendly cleaning products etc. and told her that there are actually
biodegradeable garbage bags you can get, along with other products, and she was all for investigating the costs of switching to these products and using them.
I feel like I made a little progress today. Yes, maybe it won't be in the budget to switch totally to these things, but even one little thing like switching to biodegradeable garbage bags would make a huge difference - to me, just getting permission to go down to the office supply store and bring back recycled paper to use is a victory.
